Girl Anachronism Project Shoot #2: Swaby's Tavern

This past Saturday (11/2/2013) we had our second shoot for the project.  Our AMAZING hosts were Anthony and Michael Pacini at Swaby's Tavern.  Swaby's, at 6 South St. here in Auburn, NY is really a perfect fit for what we're learning is the look and feel of this project as it evolves.  The walls are covered with the history of the area, and the owner, Anthony, is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Auburn.  He's a well of information that I'm sure we'll be going back to regularly as we explore the area.

We introduce two new models for this shoot, Shireen Harter and Arienne Hess.  The two of them worked well together, and were a pleasure to shoot.  The shoot went extremely well, we were able to use the bar itself, a coffin setup near the door, and my favorite of the day, the electric chair.  The actual backup electric chair from Auburn Prison (the original lost to fire in a prison riot).  We had some real fun with that.

After the shoot, with everything packed up, we decided to have some dinner at Swaby's, and I had one of the best bacon cheeseburgers I've had.  Great food, great atmosphere, fun people, I can't recommend Swaby's enough.

Here are some rough samples from the shoot.  We hope you enjoy.
